ED&C Procedure
Overview
Electrodesiccation and curettage (ED&C) is a minor surgical procedure used to treat benign and pre-malignant skin lesions. The procedure involves scraping the lesion with a curette followed by electrical cauterization to destroy remaining tissue and achieve hemostasis.

Care Instructions
- Keep wound clean and dry for 24 hours.
- Apply antibiotic ointment twice daily.
- Cover with bandage for first few days.
- Avoid water and excessive moisture on wound.
- Do not pick at scab or allow it to get wet.
- Avoid sun exposure to prevent hyperpigmentation during healing.
